The mass shooting in a school in Canada has exposed security lapses. The tragic mass shooting incident in Canada has raised serious security lapses that caused multiple casualties.
For example, 1) how the female shooter got a deadly weapon with several bullets; 2) How she entered school easily and started hitting students; 3) Where was the security of the school; 4) Why did the security system of the school not detect weapons and the attacker before the tragedy occurred; 5) Why it was very easy for the shooter to hit more than 35 students inside the school; 6) Who is responsible for this deadly mass shooting?
In this incident, 10 people, including the suspected gunwoman, died after a shooting at a high school in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on Tuesday, police confirmed. More than 25 students sustained injuries and some of them are in critical condition, according to the police.
Authorities said the woman opened fire inside the school before taking her own life.
Meanwhile, at least two people remain in the hospital with serious or life-threatening injuries. Medical teams are also treating up to 25 others for non-life-threatening wounds. Police stated they do not believe any additional suspects were involved and assured residents that no ongoing threat exists.
Superintendent Ken Floyd said officers encountered multiple casualties as they cleared the building. โThe scene was very dramatic,โ he told reporters, adding that authorities continue to assess victimsโ conditions. Police have not confirmed how many of the victims were minors.
Investigators described the shooter as a woman, an uncommon profile for mass shootings in North America. Earlier, an active shooter alert identified the suspect as a female with brown hair wearing a dress. Floyd later confirmed that the individual described in the alert was the same person found dead inside the school.
Tumbler Ridge, a remote town of about 2,400 residents in northernย British Columbia, sits roughly 1,155 kilometres northeast of Vancouver. The tragedy marks one of Canadaโs deadliest mass-casualty incidents in recent years.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and people are in shock over the mass school shooting.
