ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced a large-scale hiring, offering hundreds of government jobs ranging from BS-01 to BS-18 for Pakistani nationals.
According to the ministry, the hiring involves technical, administrative, security, medical, clerical, and support staff positions.
Authorities said applications are open to eligible candidates who meet the prescribed education, experience, age limits and quota requirements. The vacancies include senior posts such as deputy directors, assistant directors and engineers, as well as positions for nurses, clerks, sub-inspectors, technical staff, and support personnel. Consequently, the drive aims to attract skilled professionals as well as entry-level applicants.
The advertisement specifies that quotas for merit, provinces, women, minorities and persons with disabilities will be strictly observed under existing government rules. Moreover, candidates must fulfill all eligibility criteria as of the closing date for applications, set for March 1, 2026.
Age relaxation, tests, and application process explained
Meanwhile, the ministry has outlined detailed age relaxation provisions. Three years of age relaxation will apply to candidates from the Scheduled Castes, the Buddhist community, recognised tribal areas, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Similarly, candidates from Sindh (Rural) and Balochistan applying for posts up to BS-15 will receive a three-year relaxation.
In addition, government servants with at least two years of continuous service may avail up to 10 years of relaxation, while retired or released armed forces personnel may also qualify for extended age limits under specific conditions. Persons with disabilities and family members of deceased government servants will also receive age concessions.
Furthermore, the ministry clarified that negative marking will apply in screening tests, with 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer. No travel or daily allowances will be provided for tests or interviews.
All applications will be received online. The candidates can download the fee deposit slips through the website of the ministry and submit their applications.
