ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Germany discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation in trade, investment, and development during a high-level meeting held at the Finance Division, signaling renewed momentum in bilateral economic ties.
Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb met Germanyโs Ambassador to Pakistan, Ina Lepel, to review the overall state of relations and assess progress on ongoing economic reforms.
Focus on reforms and growth-oriented priorities
During the meeting, the finance minister outlined the governmentโs core economic priorities, including maintaining macroeconomic stability, ensuring fiscal sustainability, and promoting growth driven by competitiveness.
Minister stressed that the government has introduced targeted measures to support economic recovery, expand export capacity, and implement structural reforms aimed at achieving inclusive and sustainable development. He added that Pakistan remains committed to creating a predictable policy environment that encourages long-term investment and strengthens investor confidence.
