Pakistan reports 4,537 coronavirus cases, 86 deaths in 24 hours

Daily deaths and cases continue to rise during fourth wave of COVID-19 in Pakistan.
Country reports 86 more deaths from virus in last 24 hours
Positivity rate stands at 7.79%.

ISLAMABAD (TTI News) – Pakistan has reported 86 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,024,861. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 23,295 on Friday.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 4,537 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11019 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 5,947 in Sindh, 4,444 in KP, 799 in Islamabad, 622 in Azad Kashmir, 327 in Balochistan, and 137 in GB.

Furthermore, 377,231 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 355,483 in Punjab, 143,213 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 86,945 in Islamabad, 30,162 in Balochistan, 23,819 in Azad Kashmir and 8,008 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 15,936,674 coronavirus tests and 58,203 in the last 24 hours. 938,843 patients have recovered in the country whereas 3,117 patients are in critical condition.
