Oppo may launch its next flagship smartphones earlier than previously expected, according to new industry chatter from China. Fresh information suggests the Oppo Find X9 Ultra could debut ahead of its earlier projected schedule. Initially expected in April 2026, the device may now launch as early as March next year.
This shift would mark a faster release cycle for Oppo’s premium lineup. The Find X8 Ultra debuted in April, so a March launch would move the timeline forward by nearly a month. Meanwhile, Oppo is also believed to be accelerating plans for its next foldable smartphone, the Find N6.
Earlier launch signals intensified flagship competition
The adjusted timeline indicates Oppo’s intent to stay competitive in the premium smartphone segment. Brands are increasingly racing to deliver top-tier hardware earlier each year. As a result, launch windows are shrinking across the industry.
Reports suggest the Find X9 Ultra will first launch in China. Global availability has not been discussed so far. However, an earlier China release often signals broader rollout plans later.
At the same time, Oppo is said to be preparing the Find N6 foldable for an even earlier debut. The device may launch before the Chinese Lunar New Year in 2026, which falls on February 17. If accurate, this would make it one of Oppo’s earliest foldable launches.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra expected specifications
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is rumored to deliver major camera upgrades. Reports suggest a dual 200MP rear camera setup. In addition, the phone may include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom.
Performance is also expected to be a key highlight. The device is tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This processor is expected to deliver strong gains in speed, graphics, and power efficiency.
Battery capacity appears equally ambitious. The Find X9 Ultra is said to feature a battery exceeding 7,000mAh. Such capacity would support extended usage, especially for photography and gaming.
Find N6 foldable details begin to surface
Oppo’s next foldable, the Find N6, is also expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone may pack a battery larger than 6,000mAh. This would address a common limitation seen in foldable devices.
Display details suggest an 8.1-inch inner screen paired with a 6.6-inch cover display. This combination aims to balance productivity and portability. Camera specifications may include a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
For context, Oppo launched the Find N5 in China earlier this year. Unlike some earlier models, the company is reportedly considering releasing the Find N6 in India under the Oppo brand.
