Zara Tindall and Prince Harry could come face to face in Australia as Princess Anne’s daughter prepares to compete against one of the Duke of Sussex’s closest friends in a high-profile charity polo match.
The Olympic silver medallist is set to travel to Australia after Christmas to take part in the 2026 Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo & Showjumping Day, scheduled to be held on Queensland’s Gold Coast next month.
The 44-year-old royal will go head-to-head with Argentine polo star Nacho Figueras, a prominent figure in the sport who is often compared to Sir David Beckham for his global appeal. The match is part of the renowned Magic Millions equestrian and auction extravaganza, an annual event that Zara regularly attends alongside her husband, former England rugby star Mike Tindall.
Zara has served as an ambassador for the Magic Millions event since 2012, underlining her long-standing association with the competition and her deep roots in the equestrian world. This year, she will be joined in the ambassadorial role by Figueras and his wife, Delfina Blaquier, adding further intrigue to the contest.
Speculation is also growing over whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend the event to support Figueras, who is a close friend of the Duke. Harry and Figueras have previously played together in charity polo matches, including a notable appearance in Aspen that drew media attention when Harry was announced by his former title, “Harry Wales.”
Zara’s team will feature Australian polo legend Ruki Baillieu alongside former rugby league star Billy Slater, combining sporting experience from different disciplines. Figueras, meanwhile, will ride alongside his wife and professional polo player Rob Archibald.
With both sides fielding strong teams and royal connections adding to the spectacle, the upcoming match promises to attract significant attention. While the focus remains on charity and sport, the potential presence of both Zara and Harry adds an extra layer of interest to the Australian event.
