The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially opened registration for foreign players interested in participating in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The announcement marks a significant phase as the league undergoes its โhistoric expansion,โ with two new franchises joining the competition for the first time.
With the expansion to eight teams, the PSL will offer substantially more roster spots and earning opportunities for international players, signaling the leagueโs largest season to date.
Agents and independent players have been urged to complete their registration before January 20, 2026, to secure a place in the official Player Pool. The registration link is available on the PCBโs official website.
The league, which first launched in 2016, will hold the auction for the two new franchises in Islamabad on January 8, with live coverage planned.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced that the deadline for franchise bids was extended from December 15 to December 22 due to strong interest from investors across Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
The addition of two new teams represents the first major structural change in the PSL in seven years, increasing the total number of franchises from six to eight.
This expansion is expected to not only enhance competition but also provide greater exposure and opportunities for overseas players, reinforcing the PSLโs status as a leading T20 league globally.
The PCB emphasized that the upcoming season offers international players a chance to showcase their talent on a prominent platform, further strengthening the leagueโs global appeal.
The boardโs proactive measures, including the expanded player pool and live franchise auction, underscore its commitment to growing the PSL and attracting top international cricketing talent for PSL 11.
