ISLAMABAD: Maryam Nawaz, vice-president of Pakistan Muslim League (N) has tested positive for coronavirus, the party’s Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Wednesday (July 28).

She has quarantined herself at home after the test result, Aurangzeb said. The information secretary also asked people to pray for the early recovery of Covid-19 patients, including Maryam.
Coronavirus has been spreading rapidly in Pakistan in recent weeks. Till July 28, 2021, Pakistan has reported 23,133 deaths and 1.02 million infections. The government has paced up vaccination process and compliance to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to curb the ongoing wave of the pandemic.
