The Foreign Office on Sunday strongly rejected India’s recent provocative, baseless, and irresponsible remarks, issuing a firm condemnation. Spokesperson Tahir Andrabee said the statements made by Indian leadership reflected “an alarming disregard for peace, stability and harmony in the region.”
The rebuke followed allegations by Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who claimed that India’s core challenges with Pakistan stemmed directly from Pakistan’s military leadership.
The spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan is a responsible state whose institutions, particularly the armed forces, serve as a “strong pillar of national security.” He underscored that Pakistan remains fully committed to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Foreign Office stated that India must examine the “fascist and extremist Hindutva mindset” that has increasingly influenced its state policies. It added that the Indian state and leadership have become “hostage to this radical religious narrative,” which in turn has shaped provocative rhetoric against Pakistan.
Andrabee highlighted that Pakistan’s armed forces have demonstrated professionalism and unwavering resolve, most recently in May, and no amount of Indian propaganda can alter this reality.
The statement condemned attempts by Indian leadership to malign Pakistan’s state institutions, noting that such actions are part of a systematic propaganda campaign aimed at destabilizing the region and diverting global attention from India’s own state-sponsored terrorism.
The spokesperson reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to peaceful coexistence, dialogue, and diplomacy while maintaining unity and strength in protecting its national security, sovereignty, and interests.
He urged India to refrain from making unfounded accusations about Pakistan’s armed forces and to instead reflect on its “fascist and extremist Hindutva ideology,” which continues to undermine regional peace.
Pakistan’s statement reinforces its position as a responsible actor in South Asia, committed to peace and stability, while firmly rejecting any attempts to malign its institutions or shift blame for regional tensions onto Islamabad. The Foreign Office emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy, rather than provocative rhetoric, are the only sustainable means to address bilateral issues and promote lasting regional harmony.
