The emphatic victory not only reshaped the WTC standings but secured the Proteas’ first Test series win on Indian soil in 25 years and only their second ever in the country.
Under the leadership of Temba Bavuma, South Africa dominated throughout the tour, delivering disciplined performances with both bat and ball. The landmark triumph elevated them to second place in the WTC table with three wins from four matches. They now hold 36 points and a strong win percentage of 75.
Australia remain firmly at the top with four wins from four matches, maintaining a perfect 100 percent record and leading the competition with 48 points.
