LAHORE: The Punjab Education Department has extended the deadline to recruit School Teaching Interns (STIs). The department has also issued a revised schedule for the recruitment.ย According to details, the education department has confirmed the deadline extension, advising applicants to follow the updated timeline without delay.
Officials extended the last date for online applications to November 26, 2025, marking the second revision of the recruitment schedule. Authorities said the decision responds to administrative requirements and the need to accommodate a growing number of applicants.
The education department released a fresh timeline to ensure transparency and smooth processing. Officials will display the initial merit lists on school notice boards on December 1, 2025. The department expects candidates to check their status on the same day.
A tehsil-level committee will review complaints from December 2 to 3, 2025. The committee will examine issues related to merit placement, documentation, and any potential errors flagged by applicants. Officials said the grievance window will remain brief to maintain the recruitment timeline.
Authorities will conduct interviews of shortlisted candidates on December 4, 2025. Interview panels will operate in designated schools and must follow the criteria issued by the department. The education department has directed staff to ensure merit-based evaluations during the interview process.
The final merit list will be uploaded to the official portal and displayed on school notice boards on December 5, 2025, at 10 AM. Officials said the final list will include only verified and eligible candidates cleared during the scrutiny and interview phases.
The Punjab government urged applicants to remain attentive to the revised schedule and complete all necessary steps on time. Officials stressed that the STI initiative aims to support schools facing staff shortages and enhance academic delivery across the province.
