The Pakistan–Indonesia joint military exercise, Shaheen Strike-II, concluded successfully on November 18, showcasing the combat readiness and counter-terrorism capabilities of both nations’ armed forces.
Conducted from November 8 to 19, 2025, the exercise focused on Counter Terrorism (CT) operations, with combat teams from the Pakistan Army and the Indonesian Army actively participating.
The training program encompassed operations in built-up urban areas, counter-improvised explosive device (IED) measures, and other specialized counter-terrorism scenarios. According to officials, all objectives set for the exercise were successfully achieved, demonstrating the high level of preparedness and tactical proficiency of the troops.
The closing ceremony was attended by a senior Pakistani General Officer, who served as the Chief Guest, alongside top Indonesian military officials. Both sides highlighted the importance of such exercises in enhancing mutual understanding, operational coordination, and joint response capabilities in complex combat scenarios.
Throughout the drills, troops from Pakistan and Indonesia displayed operational excellence, discipline, and professionalism, reflecting the high standards maintained by both armed forces. The hands-on exercises allowed participants to exchange knowledge, refine tactics, and enhance interoperability in joint counter-terrorism operations.
Officials noted that Shaheen Strike-II not only strengthened defence cooperation between the two countries but also marked a significant milestone in their bilateral military relations. The exercise provided a platform to foster mutual trust, share best practices, and deepen strategic ties, reinforcing Pakistan and Indonesia’s commitment to regional security and stability.
