Supporting Friends Through Parenthood
Jennifer Lawrence recently revealed how she became an unexpected lifeline for her Die My Love co-star Robert Pattinson and his fiancée, Suki Waterhouse, as they navigated the early days of parenthood. The couple welcomed their daughter in March 2024, and Lawrence, herself a mother of two, stepped in to provide guidance and support off the set. Speaking with People Magazine, she shared how she helped the new parents adjust to life with a newborn.
From Diapers to Downloads: Lawrence’s Hands-On Help
“Any new parent knows that the only thing you want to do is just like look at pictures and show people pictures and videos of their kids, so that’s kind of what we did,” Lawrence said. She also mentioned that she assisted with technology and digital tasks, helping Pattinson and Waterhouse “download them on the apps and the delivery stuff,” making herself “indispensable” to the couple during a hectic, emotional time.
Pattinson Embraces Fatherhood
Robert Pattinson has also opened up about his transformation as a parent. In a previous interview with Icon Magazine, he said parenthood brought unexpected joy and patience: “I genuinely enjoy hanging out with babies. That surprised me.” He added humorously that becoming a dad shifts even small lifestyle choices: “There’s this gravitational pull…like, I have to wear Patagonia puffer jackets and cargo shorts now. I just have to.” Pattinson also noted that parenthood has led to new “normie conversations” about schools and daycares, highlighting the profound ways his life has changed since welcoming his daughter.
With Jennifer Lawrence by their side, Pattinson and Waterhouse have found both practical help and emotional support, proving that even Hollywood stars rely on close friends to navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood.
