Earlier, Jennifer Lawrence recounted a humorous and slightly shocking incident involving her co-star Robert Pattinson eating food from her trash, and now the actor has spoken about it. The story, which first surfaced during Lawrence’s appearance on The Graham Norton Show, went viral on social media, prompting ET to ask Pattinson for his reaction.
Pattinson, known for his sense of humor, laughed off the incident. “I thought it was delicious,” he joked, adding, “She must have a really nice trash haul.” His lighthearted response reflects the casual and funny nature of the anecdote, showing he was unfazed by the unconventional meal.
The story began when Pattinson visited Lawrence’s home while filming Tenet. Lawrence explained that he arrived hungry and asked if she had any food. At that moment, the only food available happened to be in the trash. “He comes in, and I hug him, and he’s like, ‘You have any food? I’m so hungry,’ [and] he goes to the bathroom, and I do have food but it’s in the trash,” Lawrence recalled.
Without hesitation, Pattinson helped himself. “He was like, ‘Oh, I don’t mind,’ and he just pulled it out of the trash and kept eating it,” Lawrence said. She added that her friends, who were present, were astonished and simply watched as the actor casually ate the discarded food.
The incident, though unusual, highlights Pattinson’s easygoing personality and his ability to laugh at unexpected situations. It also adds a humorous behind-the-scenes glimpse into the interactions between the two Hollywood stars.
Currently, the pair have reunited on screen for Die My Love, which is set to open in theatres on November 7. Fans of both actors will get a chance to see them in a different context, but the viral trash-meal story is likely to remain a memorable anecdote in the lead-up to the film’s release.
