Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, fondly known as the “King of Bollywood,” celebrated his 60th birthday with a special gift for his fans — the first teaser of his highly anticipated film, King.
The 1-minute and 11-second teaser offers a glimpse of Khan in a rugged, grey-haired look, exuding charisma and intensity. His piercing gaze and powerful screen presence immediately captured audience attention, with fans flooding social media to express excitement and admiration for the star’s new avatar.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, known for blockbuster action thrillers like Pathaan and War, King promises to blend high-octane action with emotional depth.
The teaser features fast-paced visuals, stylized combat sequences, and a commanding background score characteristic of Anand’s filmmaking style. One of the most talked-about moments features Khan delivering a gripping dialogue in Hindi:
“Kitne khoon kiye, yaad nahi. Achhe log the yaa bude, kabhi pucha nahi. Bass unki aankhon mein ehsaas dekha ki ye unki aakhri saas hain. Aur mein uski wajah.”
The line, coupled with Khan’s commanding delivery, instantly went viral, solidifying King as one of the most awaited films of the year.
Adding to the anticipation, King marks the first on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan. The film also features Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma, Saurabh Shukla, and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles, boasting an ensemble cast of top talent.
According to Pinkvilla, the film draws inspiration from the 1994 French classic Léon: The Professional, about a hitman who becomes a guardian to a young girl. Khan praised director Siddharth Anand for maintaining secrecy around the project, assuring fans that King will be a thrilling and heartfelt cinematic experience.
