GAZA CITY: Israel has once again violated the ceasefire, launching a drone strike on a crowded vegetable market in Gaza City, officials and local media reported on Sunday.
In addition to the market attack, residential buildings in Khan Younis and Rafah came under heavy shelling, further escalating tensions in the already fragile truce.
According to health officials, three Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours, pushing the death toll since the ceasefire to 236.
The Israeli military also expanded its offensive beyond Gaza, firing a missile at a vehicle in southern Lebanon, killing four Lebanese nationals.
Meanwhile, Hamas denied accusations from the US Central Command, which claimed the group had seized a humanitarian aid convoy. The Palestinian faction dismissed the allegations as false and politically motivated, accusing Washington of attempting to divert attention from Israel’s continued violations of the truce.
The renewed violence threatens to derail ongoing efforts by regional and international mediators to stabilize the ceasefire and ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
