Suspect Detained After Viral Video Sparks Public Outrage
Police in Sheikhupura’s Ferozewala area have arrested a man accused of sexually harassing a female school teacher, following widespread public outrage after a disturbing video of the incident went viral on social media. Authorities confirmed that a formal case has been registered against the suspect, and legal proceedings are now underway.
According to police officials, the video circulating online shows the man committing an indecent act against a veiled woman walking along a street before fleeing the scene. The footage quickly drew condemnation across social media platforms, prompting law enforcement agencies to take swift action.
The Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell confirmed the arrest through an official statement on X (formerly Twitter), assuring the public that the perpetrator is now in custody. “The man who harassed the woman teacher has been arrested, and further legal action is being taken,” the statement read.
