The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has released the results of the Central Superior Services (CSS) Examination 2024, revealing a significantly low success rate of just 2.48%.
Out of 15,602 candidates who appeared for the prestigious exam, only 229 aspirants successfully cleared both the written and interview stages. The final list includes 119 male and 110 female candidates, whose appointments remain subject to medical clearance.

Among the top performers, 19 out of the top 20 candidates chose the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), while only one opted for the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP).
Surprisingly, none of the top 30 qualifiers selected the Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP) this year, indicating a continued trend of preference for administrative and law enforcement roles over diplomatic ones.
The CSS 2024 results not only reflect the extreme competitiveness of the exam but also highlight a growing inclination among top candidates towards domestic administrative roles, especially within PAS.
With just 229 successful candidates out of thousands, the results reaffirm the CSS as one of Pakistan’s toughest public service examinations.
