The Pakistan Army has won a gold medal at the prestigious Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025 held in Wales, United Kingdom.
The team, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, outperformed 137 teams from 36 countries in the world-renowned military competition.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise was conducted from October 3 to 13 and marked the 66th edition of the event, regarded as one of the toughest and most professionally demanding military tests worldwide.
During the competition, participating teams were required to cover a 60-kilometer distance within 48 hours across rugged terrain while performing multiple tactical and technical missions under simulated combat conditions.
Pakistan Team Displays Exceptional Skill
Out of the 137 international teams, the Pakistan Army contingent delivered an outstanding performance, securing the Gold Medal through exceptional endurance, leadership, and coordination.
The ISPR hailed the achievement as a reflection of the Armyโs professionalism and commitment, stating:
โThis success is a matter of pride for the entire nation. The Pakistan Army stands distinguished for its superior training standards, discipline, and determination.โ
The Cambrian Patrol, organized annually by the British Army in Wales, tests soldiersโ stamina, tactical planning, teamwork, and operational capability under extreme conditions. It is often described as the โOlympics of military patrollingโ due to its intensity and prestige.
The Pakistan Army has consistently performed with distinction in past editions of the competition, frequently winning top honors. This yearโs gold medal once again reaffirms its global reputation for excellence and professionalism.
The ISPR further stated,
