Ayesha Ayaz, Pakistan’s youngest Taekwondo athlete from Swat, has once again made the nation proud with her stellar performance at the international level.
Known for her consistent excellence in Taekwondo, Ayesha has previously won medals in global competitions held in Dubai, Bangkok, and several other international venues. Her remarkable achievements at such a young age continue to inspire young athletes across Pakistan.
Ayesha’s journey in Taekwondo began in childhood under the guidance of her father, who is an expert coach, and her mother, a former national champion. With their continuous mentorship and encouragement, Ayesha developed into one of Pakistan’s most talented martial artists, proving her potential in various international events.
Most recently, Ayesha Ayaz competed in the Indonesia International Taekwondo Championship held in Jakarta from October 2–5, 2025, where she secured one gold and one silver medal.
The championship featured around 5,000 athletes from 21 countries, making her accomplishment even more impressive.
Ayesha clinched the gold medal after defeating competitors from Japan and Indonesia in her category, while she earned a silver medal in another event, overcoming tough opponents from Thailand and Indonesia before narrowly losing to an Indonesian finalist. Her powerful kicks, strategic defense, and unwavering focus earned her widespread praise from officials and fellow athletes alike.
Speaking to the media, Ayesha expressed her gratitude and joy, saying, “I am extremely happy. All this is the result of Allah’s blessings, my hard work, and the prayers of all those who have always encouraged me. I am grateful to all Pakistanis who prayed for me and supported me.”
Ayesha added that she looks forward to returning home soon to celebrate her victory with the nation and to continue striving for even greater success in future international events.
