Actor Pankaj Tripathi has taken fans by surprise with a quirky and colourful transformation that has quickly gone viral online. Known for his grounded persona and understated style, Tripathi stunned followers when he posted a photograph on Instagram dressed in an extravagant green velvet blazer with golden zari embroidery, paired with striking red zardozi harem pants and a cap.
The bold new look drew a wave of admiration, curiosity, and speculation, with some even questioning whether the stylized visuals were AI-generated.
Captioning the post, Tripathi wrote, “Ek nayi shuruat. This is the beginning of something interesting. How’s the ‘vibe’?” He also paired it with Aryan Khan’s directorial debut track “Ghafoor” from Bads of Bollywood, hinting that his makeover might be linked to an upcoming project or collaboration.
Ranveer Singh, Bollywood’s own fashion maverick, couldn’t resist reacting. In a playful comment that sent social media into a frenzy, he wrote: “Arre! Yeh kya, Guruji?! Hum sudhar gaye, aur aap bigad gaye?” (I mended my ways, and you changed yours!). The witty remark highlighted the camaraderie between the two actors and quickly became a trending talking point.
Tripathi, celebrated for his nuanced performances, was last seen in Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino, a spiritual successor to the 2007 film Life in a… Metro. Featuring a stellar ensemble cast, the film delved into themes of connection and loneliness in modern India.
He also appeared in Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank, part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. Reports suggest that his next venture is titled Parivarik ManuRanjan, though details remain under wraps.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is preparing for his December release Dhurandhar, co-starring R. Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt. As for Tripathi, fans are divided over his daring new look, but many believe it signals a fresh chapter in his artistic journey — just as his caption promised: “A new beginning.”
