Secure Logistics Group Limited (SLG-Trax), a leading logistics and e-commerce solutions company in Pakistan, has announced plans to acquire Singapore-based Finova Technologies. The potential deal could reshape the future of digital payments and lending for Pakistan’s fast-growing e-commerce industry.
SLG-Trax Expands Into Fintech
The announcement comes shortly after SLG-Trax’s subsidiary, LogiServe (Pvt) Ltd, secured a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) license from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in August 2025.
This license allows LogiServe to provide innovative financial services, including COD-backed working capital loans, invoice discounting, merchant virtual accounts, and digital payment gateways. The acquisition of Finova would give SLG-Trax access to cutting-edge technology and enhance its ability to scale these services nationwide.
Acquisition Details
According to the company’s statement, the Board of Directors of SLG-Trax has approved the start of good-faith negotiations with Finova. The deal will undergo due diligence and regulatory approvals before finalization.
If completed, SLG-Trax would gain full ownership of Finova’s intellectual property suite, and potentially assume operational control of the fintech company. This strategic step aligns with SLG-Trax’s vision to expand its financial services portfolio.
Finova’s Contribution to E-Commerce Growth
Finova’s fintech platform has already been tested with selected SLG-Trax retail partners since February 2025. During the pilot phase, it successfully facilitated:
-
Financing for 1.2 million shipments
-
Over Rs. 17 billion in wallet payments
-
More than Rs. 3.5 billion in lending throughput
These results demonstrate the platform’s potential to revolutionize digital finance for Pakistan’s retail and corporate clients.
Future Roadmap of SLG-Trax
If the acquisition is completed, SLG-Trax plans to launch full NBFC operations by Q4 2025. The company will integrate Finova’s fintech platform across its network of 9,000 retail clients and 300 corporate e-commerce partners.
The roadmap includes expanding into:
-
Merchant-centric digital payment portals
-
Lending management systems
-
AI-powered credit assessment engines
With these services, SLG-Trax aims to strengthen financial inclusion while increasing efficiency and profitability across Pakistan’s e-commerce sector.
Regional and Global Potential
Beyond Pakistan, SLG-Trax intends to market Finova’s fintech software in other countries. This move could position the company as a regional leader in digital lending and payment solutions. By integrating logistics expertise with fintech innovation, SLG-Trax seeks to offer seamless financial and operational solutions to e-commerce players.
The planned acquisition of Finova Technologies by SLG-Trax is a major development for Pakistan’s digital economy. It reflects the growing convergence of logistics, fintech, and e-commerce in shaping the country’s future. With regulatory approvals and successful integration, SLG-Trax could emerge as a powerful player in both domestic and international financial technology markets.
