The buzz around the historic Asia Cup 2025 final has reached its peak, with organisers confirming that tickets for Sunday’s Pakistan–India clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium have completely sold out.
The 28,000-capacity stadium is now officially “house full,” with fans eager to witness one of the most anticipated encounters in cricketing history.
The Pakistan–India rivalry has already set attendance records during this tournament. The group-stage match on September 14 drew 20,000 spectators, while 17,000 fans turned up for their Super Four clash on September 21.
Yet, the unprecedented demand for the final has eclipsed both, highlighting the unparalleled excitement surrounding this first-ever Asia Cup title decider between the two arch-rivals.
Pakistan secured their place in the final after edging Bangladesh by 11 runs in a tight Super Fours contest on September 25.
The Green Shirts, who previously won the tournament in 2016, have faced strong competition but managed to power through to the final. However, India has proven to be a formidable opponent, defeating Pakistan twice earlier in the tournament — once in the group stage and again in the Super Fours.
India’s dominance has been led by top-ranked T20 players — opener Abhishek Sharma and spinner Varun Chakravarthy — both of whom have been instrumental in their side’s victories.
Meanwhile, controversy added tension when Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav skipped the customary handshake during the September 14 group match and made political remarks afterward, drawing a reprimand from the International Cricket Council (ICC) following a complaint by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Despite these heightened emotions, Pakistan captain Salman Agha struck an optimistic tone, saying, “The pressure is equal on both sides, but we aim to give our best and win the final.”
