UAE links entry from Pakistan with attested Covid certificates

Pakistan and UAE should set-up one window facilitation for attestation of Covid certificates to avoid rush and hassle to travellers

ISLAMABAD: From 1st of August, 2021, the United Arab Emirates has linked entry of Pakistanis into UAE with attested certificate of Covid. Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad and UAE Embassy will carry out attestation process. In other words, Pakistanis travelling to UAE will have to get their Covid certificate attested from two different places, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE Embassy.

Instead of creating hectic procedure, Pakistan and UAE governments must have introduced one-window facilitation for attestation of Covid certificates to avoid embarrassment to people planning to visit UAE. Diplomats and government officials too will have to follow this procedure to enter UAE.

In the present scenario, individuals will have to rush to NADRA to get Covid certificate, then to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE for attestation of the certificate.

It is mandatory to carry a UAE embassy attested vaccine certificate for Covid-19 issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) along with Counsellor Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, before travelling to the UAE, according to a circular issued by the UAE embassy in Islamabad.
