Honda Atlas has introduced a new variant of the 6th Generation Honda City, named the ‘Aspire S,’ alongside a facelift for the existing 1.2L CVT (Special Edition) and 1.5L Aspire models.
This launch, arriving nearly four years after the 6th Generation City first debuted in Pakistan in 2021, has sparked curiosity among automotive enthusiasts who were expecting the 7th-generation City, already available in global markets. The decision to continue with the current generation, albeit with updates, has stirred debates over whether a more significant generational upgrade was due.
The Honda City Aspire S comes with several enhancements that elevate both its exterior appeal and interior comfort. On the exterior, the variant features a new Honda emblem, two fresh color options—Canyon River Blue and Ignite Red—and a black trunk spoiler with an LED high-mount stop lamp.
Additional upgrades include a black shark fin antenna, full LED lighting for headlights, rear lights, and fog lamps, black-colored door mirrors, updated door handles in chrome, front chrome garnish, rear license garnish, and alloy wheels with a refreshed color finish.
Inside, the Aspire S offers hi-grade fabric seats with a new pattern, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with baseball stitching, and a matching baseball-stitched select knob. Audio has been improved with the addition of tweeters for richer sound quality.
On the safety and technology front, Honda has upgraded the ABS system with EBD and added the ESP 9.3 modulator, providing enhanced braking performance and overall vehicle safety.
While global markets have already moved on to more modern iterations of the Honda City, the Aspire S refresh demonstrates Honda Atlas’ commitment to keeping the 6th Generation relevant locally.
With these cosmetic, functional, and safety improvements, the Aspire S delivers a more refined driving experience, even as fans continue to hope for a true generational leap in Pakistan’s market. The exact price for the Aspire S has yet to be announced, but it is expected to remain competitive within the local sedan segment.
