Atlas Honda has officially introduced the 2026 model of its iconic CG125 motorcycle, a bike that has long been synonymous with reliability and performance in Pakistan’s commuter segment. The latest model brings with it a fresh set of graphics and cosmetic changes but remains identical to previous versions in terms of engine specifications and core features. The launch includes three variants: the standard CG125, CG125S with self-start, and the premium CG125S Gold edition.
Minor Aesthetic Tweaks, Same Classic Engine
Despite expectations for upgrades or technical enhancements, the 2026 CG125 continues to run on the same tried-and-tested engine that has powered it for years. The primary updates come in the form of new color schemes and sticker designs—a tradition Atlas Honda has followed for many years. The price tags for the new models are as follows: Rs. 238,500 for the CG125, Rs. 286,900 for the CG125S, and Rs. 296,900 for the top-tier CG125S Gold edition.
Promotional campaigns on social media showcased slogans like “Power in Every Move” for the CG125, “Self Start Your Journey” for the CG125S, and “The Golden Era” for the CG125S Gold. These marketing lines emphasize style and nostalgia rather than performance upgrades.
Competitive Market Leaves Honda Behind in Innovation
While competitors in the motorcycle market have begun integrating advanced technology such as digital meters, enhanced suspension systems, and improved safety features, Atlas Honda appears content with retaining the status quo for the CG125. The company’s recent launch of the CG150 in July drew attention, especially because of its design similarities to the classic Honda CD 200 Roadmaster. Interestingly, vintage models of the Roadmaster in excellent condition are still fetching prices upwards of Rs. 400,000—comparable to a brand-new CG150.
Despite the absence of innovation, Atlas Honda continues to bank on brand loyalty and the strong resale value of the CG125. For many buyers, the motorcycle’s time-tested performance, affordable maintenance, and durability outweigh the need for modern enhancements. As such, it’s likely that the new sticker model will still find buyers who value function over flash.
