Azan Sami Responds to Criticism Over His Father’s Decisions
Pakistani actor, singer, and filmmaker Azan Sami Khan has finally spoken about the constant trolling he faces online because of his father, Adnan Sami Khan. Despite being fully committed to Pakistan and its entertainment industry, Azan says he is often unfairly targeted and judged for choices that were not his own.
In a recent conversation, Azan revealed that people frequently pressure him to distance himself from his father due to Adnan Sami’s decision to live in India. However, Azan made it clear that his love and respect for his father remain unchanged.
“Many people told me to reject my father publicly,” he explained. “But as a son, I will always love him. As a Pakistani, I may not agree with everything, but I will never stop respecting him.”
Facing Online Hate and Hurtful Labels
Azan Sami admitted that the constant trolling takes a toll on him. Each time he shares something on social media, critics flood his posts with harsh comments, labeling him as a “traitor’s son.”
He expressed his frustration, saying: “I chose to live and work in Pakistan. I built my career here. Despite this, I face hate because of decisions that are not mine.”
Azan went on to explain that while his father is respected in India, he has never considered relocating there, even though the option was available. His choice to remain in Pakistan, he emphasized, reflects his love for his homeland.
Patriotism and Personal Identity
The young artist stressed that his loyalty to Pakistan should not be questioned. “I love Pakistan and will always stay here,” he said firmly. “Both my parents are patriotic. Why should I constantly prove my loyalty?”
He also highlighted the emotional weight of such criticism, admitting that it is painful to constantly defend his identity as a patriotic Pakistani.
“I am proud of my country and my work here,” he concluded. “I want to be recognized for who I am and what I contribute, not judged for my father’s personal choices.”
A Voice for Resilience in the Entertainment Industry
Azan Sami’s statements reflect the broader challenges faced by public figures who are often judged not only for their own actions but also for the choices of their families. By addressing the issue openly, he hopes to shift the conversation toward his dedication to Pakistan’s entertainment industry and his contributions as a patriotic artist.
With his rising career in acting and music, Azan Sami continues to prove that his identity and achievements stand on their own, separate from the shadow of his father’s decisions.
