The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus was officially launched in China on August 21, 2025, marking the newest addition to Xiaomi’s popular Note series. While currently limited to the Chinese market, global availability is expected in the coming months, with India likely to receive the device around October 2025. Rumors suggest that the global variant may feature minor changes, including adjustments to the battery capacity and camera sensor.
Design-wise, the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus adopts a modern, flat-edged look with a 6.83-inch micro-curved AMOLED display. The screen offers a 1.5K resolution of 2,772 by 1,280 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness reaching 3,200 nits.
Protection comes from Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass and a fibreglass-coated rear panel, giving the device both durability and a premium feel. Despite its large screen, the phone maintains a slim 7.9 mm profile and weighs approximately 211 grams, making it comfortable for daily use.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, built on a 4 nm process with an 8-core CPU and Adreno 810 GPU. It comes with either 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB UFS 2.2, although rivals now offer UFS 3.1.
Gaming performance is strong, with a 7 percent improvement over its predecessor, supported by Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and an “ice-sealed” cold-pump cooling system for sustained performance. AnTuTu benchmarks indicate a total score of 849,756 points.
Photography is a highlight, with a dual 50 MP rear camera system, including an OmniVision Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with OIS and a telephoto lens offering 2.5× optical zoom. An 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 32 MP front camera complete the setup. Video recording is supported up to 4K at 30 fps on the rear camera and 1080p at 30/60 fps on the front.
Battery life is exceptional thanks to a 7,000 mAh cell with 90 W fast charging and 22.5 W reverse wired charging. Additional features include IP68/69K water and dust resistance, a fiberglass-reinforced build, and BeiDou satellite messaging for remote communication.
However, the device lacks wireless charging, expandable storage, and UFS 3.1 speeds, which could limit convenience for some users. Pricing in China starts at 1,999 yuan for the base 12/256 GB model, with the top-tier Satellite Messaging Edition priced at 2,499 yuan. In Bangladesh, the base model is expected to cost around 45,000 TK.
Overall, the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus balances cutting-edge cameras, display technology, battery life, and rugged design, making it a strong contender in the mid-range segment for 2025.
