LAHORE โ Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched the next phase of the Honhaar Scholarship Programme, a major educational initiative aimed at empowering talented students across the province.
Announcing the launch via a post on X (formerly Twitter), the chief minister confirmed that the Honhaar Scholarship Portal is now open for the latest round of applications. She encouraged students to apply confidently and pursue their education with passion and dedication.
โMy dear students of Punjab! Your dreams are the heartbeat of Punjabโs future,โ Maryam Nawaz wrote. โThrough the Honhaar Scholarship Programme, 80,000 young minds have been given the wings to thrive โ 50,000 already receiving their scholarships, 30,000 more on the way, and many more to follow.โ
Focus on Future-Proof Disciplines and Youth Empowerment
Launched last year, the Honhaar Scholarship Programme is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to thrive in an evolving job market. The programme offers scholarships in 67 โfuture-proofโ academic and professional disciplines, ensuring students are prepared for the demands of the modern world.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that studentsโ success remains her top priority, saying their achievements are her “greatest pride.” She reiterated her governmentโs commitment to expanding educational opportunities and building a stronger, more skilled generation of Pakistanis.
