ISLAMABAD – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a dedicated minority registration campaign across Pakistan, aimed at ensuring equal access to identity documentation for all citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic background. The initiative runs from August 4 to August 11, 2025, coinciding with National Minorities Day, and highlights the government’s efforts to promote inclusivity and civic equality.
In an official statement, NADRA reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding minority rights, declaring: “You are allowed to have the same rights as every other citizen.” The campaign seeks to facilitate the issuance and renewal of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) for members of minority communities, thus enabling access to essential services such as education, healthcare, and participation in democratic processes.
To enhance accessibility, NADRA will deploy Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs) to various regions, especially underserved areas, allowing citizens to obtain or renew their identity cards without needing to travel long distances. Additionally, the service will be available at all NADRA centres nationwide during the campaign period.
The drive aligns with NADRA’s broader digital vision and inclusive service model, emphasizing that no citizen should be left behind in accessing state resources and legal recognition. The initiative has been praised by rights groups and community leaders as a timely and meaningful step toward building a more equitable society.
Digital Job Applications Simplified Through NADRA Mobile App
In a separate move toward digital transformation, NADRA has introduced a streamlined process for applying to government jobs through its Pak ID mobile app. This development eliminates the need for physical paperwork or in-person visits.
Users can now log into the NADRA career portal via Single Sign-On (SSO), access a personalized dashboard, and submit applications directly from their smartphones. The initiative is part of NADRA’s efforts to modernize public services and make them more accessible to tech-savvy and remote applicants alike.
By combining inclusive civic registration efforts with forward-looking digital services, NADRA continues to position itself as a leader in citizen facilitation and administrative innovation across Pakistan.
