The mysterious death of actress and model Humaira Asghar has taken a disturbing new turn, with investigators uncovering signs that her WhatsApp account remained active months after her presumed death.
Humaira’s decomposed body was discovered in her Karachi apartment in the Defence area, following a missing person complaint. Forensic analysis indicated that she likely died around October 7 or 8, 2024, based on her last recorded phone activity.
However, recent findings have raised fresh suspicions. According to her close friend and hairstylist, Danish Maqsood, changes to her WhatsApp account were noticed as late as February 2025 — including the removal of her profile photo and “last seen” status.
This unexpected activity has left investigators grappling with unsettling questions: If Humaira died in October, who accessed her account months later? Was her phone still connected to the internet? Or was someone else using her account from another device?
Adding to the intrigue is WhatsApp’s own policy, which states that accounts are automatically deleted after 120 days of inactivity. That means her account should have been deactivated by February 4, 2025 — unless it was being used.
Investigators are now working to construct a precise digital timeline, hoping it will shed light on who had access to Humaira’s phone or WhatsApp credentials in the months following her death.
Further deepening the mystery, police discovered earthen pots filled with white soap near her body, which forensic experts believe may have been used in an attempt to mask the odor of decomposition — suggesting a possible effort to conceal her death.
The mysterious death of Humaira Asghar is leading to shocking twists every week. As authorities continue to unravel the chilling details of the case, many questions remain unanswered. What really happened to Humaira Asghar? Who had access to her phone after her death? And why was her WhatsApp still active long after she was gone?
