Driver of Tribal Leader Also Dies After Targeted Attack in Peer Kali Area
MIRANSHAH: Tribal leader Malik Muhammad Rehman was martyred in a targeted attack near Peer Kali while travelling from Bannu to Miranshah, police reported on Monday. The tribal leader was ambushed by unidentified assailants who opened fire on his vehicle in the Peer Kali area, resulting in the tragic death of the tribal leader on the spot.
The targeted attack also left the driver of the tribal leader, Saeed Akbar, critically injured. The injured driver of the tribal leader was rushed to a nearby hospital following the targeted attack, but he later succumbed to his injuries. The deaths of both the tribal leader and his driver in this targeted attack have shocked the local community.
According to initial police reports, the tribal leader was travelling on his routine route from Bannu to Miranshah when the targeted attack took place.
