ISLAMABAD: A court in Islamabad has granted the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing the authority to block 27 Pakistani YouTube channels accused of spreading false, misleading, and defamatory content targeting state institutions.
The ruling came after a petition filed by the FIA’s Cyber Crime Circle, which alleged that the named channels were involved in disseminating content that incited public fear, created panic, and promoted hostility against government bodies and officials.

According to the FIA’s submission, the material posted by these channels was not only factually incorrect but also aimed at undermining public confidence in state institutions and provoking unrest.
The court order listed the following channels to be blocked:
- Haider Mehdi
- Siddique Jan
- Sabeeq Kazmi
- Orya Maqbool Jan
- Arzoo Kazmi
- Rana Uzair Speaks
- Sajid Gondal
- Habib Akram
- Matiullah Jan
- Asad Toor
- Imran Riaz Khan
- Naya Pakistan
- Sabir Shakir
- Imran Khan
- Aftab Iqbal
- Reel Entertainment TV
- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
- Daily Qudrat
- Qadir Qadri
- Chandasai Journalists
- Naila Pakistani Reaction
- Wajahat Saeed Khan
- Ahmad Noorani
- Nazar Chohan
- Moeed Pirzada
- Makhdoom Shahab ud Din

The court’s directive now allows the FIA to proceed with action against these channels, as authorities ramp up efforts to curb what they describe as “digital disinformation campaigns” that threaten national stability.
