Nine Iranian security personnel lost their lives in an Israeli attack targeting two military sites in the central province of Yazd, according to official statements released by Iranian authorities on Sunday.
The tragic incident involved casualties among both branches of Iran’s armed forces, with seven of the deceased identified as members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and two as soldiers from the regular Iranian army.

In his communication to the UNSC, Iravani emphasized that the Iranian nuclear sites targeted by the US attacks are under the strict supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
He pointed out that these facilities are fully compliant with the Safeguards Agreement as well as the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), which Iran is a signatory to. This claim serves to underline Iran’s assertion that the airstrikes were unjustified and violated the principles of international law.
The call for an emergency meeting at the UN comes amid rising international concern over the potential for broader conflict in the Middle East, following the recent military actions by both the United States and Israel.
