Solidarity
In a recent telephone conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi extended his deep appreciation to Pakistan for its unwavering support and solidarity in the face of escalating tensions with Israel.
The call was held with Pakistanโs Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, during which both leaders discussed the ongoing crisis and regional security concerns in light of Israelโs continued military actions.
Araghchi conveyed Iranโs gratitude for the consistent support demonstrated by senior Pakistani leadership and the Pakistani public, particularly in condemning Israel’s recent acts of aggression.
He highlighted that this solidarity reflects the strong bonds of brotherhood between the two nations, especially at a time when Iran faces attacks targeting its civilian infrastructure and key institutions.
The Iranian Foreign Minister detailed the extent of the Israeli assaults, which he said were not limited to military targets. He revealed that the Zionist regime had launched strikes against critical public infrastructure, nuclear sites, residential areas, hospitals, medical centers, and even Iranโs national broadcaster, IRIB.
Araghchi described these attacks as clear violations of international law and human rights, emphasizing that the actions of the Israeli regime pose a direct threat to regional peace and stability.
He further stated that the root cause of insecurity in the Middle East lies in the expansionist and war-mongering policies of Israel.
Araghchi urged the global community to stand united in condemning Israelโs aggression and called on the United Nations Security Council to act decisively. He emphasized the urgent need for the UNSC to hold Israel accountable and to halt its repeated violations of international norms.
Responding to Araghchi, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistanโs clear and firm position. He strongly condemned the Israeli regimeโs military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed complete solidarity with the Iranian government and people.
Dar reiterated that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with Iran in the face of such provocations and will continue to raise its voice against injustice and violations of international law.
Both foreign ministers also discussed strategies for enhancing cooperation at regional and international platforms. They explored joint efforts to counter the growing threat posed by Israelโs hostile actions and emphasized the importance of a coordinated regional response.
They agreed on the need to utilize diplomatic channels and multilateral forums to confront and contain the dangerous trend of aggression and warmongering in the region.
The conversation between the Iranian and Pakistani foreign ministers marks a significant step in reinforcing diplomatic ties and expressing mutual resolve to uphold peace and justice in the Middle East.
