Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), is currently undertaking an official visit to the United States, where he met with members of the Pakistani expatriate community in Washington, D.C.
General Munir was warmly received by a large gathering of overseas Pakistanis who welcomed him with enthusiasm and expressed strong support for the Pakistan Armed Forces. The attendees praised the military’s professionalism and valor, particularly highlighting the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos (Marka-e-Haq), commending its execution and the troops’ unwavering dedication.
In his remarks, the Army Chief lauded overseas Pakistanis as “true ambassadors of Pakistan,” recognizing their vital contributions to the national economy through remittances and investments, as well as their efforts in projecting a positive image of Pakistan abroad.
The interactive session provided a platform for attendees to share their views and recommendations with the COAS, who stressed the importance of sustained engagement between Pakistan and its global diaspora. He emphasized the value of collaborative efforts in addressing shared challenges and advancing national development.
The meeting concluded with a strong sense of unity and purpose, as both General Munir and the expatriate community reaffirmed their collective commitment to building a secure, resilient, and prosperous Pakistan.
