A criminal case has been registered at Lahore’s Nawab Town police station against five individuals — including well-known YouTubers Rajab Butt and Maan Dogar — following grave allegations of rape, blackmail, and illegal confinement made by a female social media activist.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the complainant alleged that she became acquainted with Salman Haider — identified as a cousin of Rajab Butt — through social media. She claims Haider drugged and raped her, recorded explicit videos without her consent, and later used the footage to blackmail her.
The woman further stated that YouTuber Rajab Butt allegedly locked her in a room at a house owned by Salman Butt, effectively holding her against her will. Other individuals, including Maan Dogar, were present during the period of her illegal detention and allegedly played a role in the incident.
Police officials confirmed that an FIR has been registered under multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. An investigation is currently underway to establish the facts and assess the level of involvement of each accused.
Authorities have stated that the matter is being treated with the seriousness it warrants and that further action will follow based on the findings of the inquiry.
