LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department (SED) has firmly rejected the validity of a notification circulating on social media, which falsely claims to announce the summer vacation schedule for schools across the province.
In an official statement released on Monday, an SED spokesperson clarified that the document—stating that summer vacations for both public and private schools will run from May 22 to August 17, 2025—is completely fabricated.
“There has been no official decision made regarding the summer holiday dates as of now,” the spokesperson said. “The circulating information is misleading and does not reflect the department’s position.”
The department urged parents, students, and school administrations to disregard such unofficial messages and to rely only on announcements made through verified government channels.
An official schedule, the spokesperson added, will be issued in due course.
