Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is set to depart for China tomorrow, where he will meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi for bilateral discussions, according to official sources.
Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, is also scheduled to arrive in China on May 20 to participate in a trilateral meeting with his Pakistani and Chinese counterparts.
The foreign ministers from the three nations are expected to focus on strengthening regional trade, deepening security cooperation, and addressing the evolving geopolitical situation—particularly in light of heightened tensions following the recent Pakistan-India clash.
The meeting is seen as a critical step toward fostering regional stability and advancing shared economic and security interests.
