Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that India launched air-to-surface missiles targeting three Pakistani Air Force bases: Nur Khan in Rawalpindi, Murid in Chakwal, and Rafiqui in Jhang district. He reported that most missiles were intercepted, with some malfunctioning and landing within India’s eastern Punjab region, while others entered Afghanistan.
General Chaudhry condemned India’s actions as “naked aggression,” emphasizing that Pakistan’s air assets remain secure and the nation is fully prepared for any response. He warned that these provocations are part of a broader strategy to destabilize the region. Pakistan has urged the international community to hold India accountable for its hostile actions, which are escalating tensions not only between the two countries but also within the broader South Asian region.
