LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Punjabโs Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, has issued a clear and heartfelt message to the people of Indian Punjab, stating unequivocally that Pakistan will never launch an attack against them.
Arora strongly dismissed Indian media reports alleging Pakistani strikes on Amritsar and other Indian cities. โWe cannot even imagine attacking Indian Punjabโour Sikh brothers live there, and many have stood with Pakistan from day one due to their deep connection to Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib,โ he said.
Arora labeled the claims as part of a long-running campaign of disinformation. โWe have not carried out any attack. This is just another wave of negative propaganda, which India has escalated over the last three days,โ he added.
Directing his remarks at the Indian press, Arora urged, โThe Indian media needs to wake up.โ He also praised Pakistani media for handling the tense situation with responsibility. โWe are reporting the facts without sensationalism or drama,โ he noted.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar revealed that India had launched four missiles the previous night. Three landed in Amritsar, while the fourth entered Pakistani airspace but was intercepted, with debris falling in the Dinga area of Gujrat.
Dar accused India of attempting to provoke the Sikh community in Indian Punjab against Pakistan, alleging that the failed missile attack was used to deflect attention from growing internal unrest and dissent within the region. Instead of taking responsibility, he claimed, the Indian government shifted blame onto Pakistan in a bid to stir anti-Pakistan sentiment.
