Indian Allegations
Security sources on Thursday categorically rejected claims made by Indian media regarding the alleged downing of a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet, calling the reports โcompletely fabricatedโ and โnothing more than desperate propaganda.โ
The narrative, widely circulated across various Indian news platforms, was strongly condemned by Pakistani officials who labeled it a โwhite lieโ aimed at misleading the public and stoking nationalist sentiment in the face of mounting internal and external pressure.
According to the Pakistani security officials, the claim lacks any evidence or credibility and is part of a broader disinformation campaign being orchestrated by the Indian government and its media to distract from its failures on the military and diplomatic fronts.
They argued that India, after facing significant setbacks during its attempted drone incursions into Pakistani territory, has grown increasingly frustrated and disoriented. Notably, the repeated downing of Israeli-made Heron drones by Pakistanโs air defenses has not only exposed Indiaโs vulnerabilities but also called into question the effectiveness of its offensive strategy.
โIndia is now grasping at straws to save face and justify its belligerent posture,โ a senior security source stated. โHaving failed to achieve its objectives with drone attacks, New Delhi is resorting to fake news and baseless military claims to sustain its narrative of dominance.โ
The sources further indicated that India is attempting to create a pretext for escalated military action by manufacturing stories of supposed Pakistani attacks in areas like Rajasthan, Pathankot, and Indian-occupied Kashmir. This, they warned, could be a dangerous ploy to provoke further hostilities under the guise of self-defense.
Despite these provocations, Pakistani security officials maintained that the countryโs armed forces remain vigilant, disciplined, and fully prepared to counter any act of aggression. โThe Pakistan Armed Forces are on high alert and fully capable of defending every inch of national territory,โ the sources asserted.
They reiterated Pakistanโs commitment to peace, but emphasized that any miscalculation by India would be met with a strong and timely response. โPakistan will not be baited into war through lies and theatrics,โ one official said, โbut if forced, it will respond with full force.โ
