Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared a province-wide state of emergency following Indian military aggression, placing all law enforcement agencies, including the Punjab Police, on high alert. Districts across the province have implemented stringent security measures to safeguard civilians and critical infrastructure.
Condemning the Indian strikes, CM Maryam called the attacks “cowardly” and affirmed that the nation remains united and resolute in the face of external threats.
“The protection of every inch of Pakistan is not just a duty—it’s part of our faith and my oath,” she said. “The enemy struck in May, but just as we responded on May 28, 1998, we will again deliver a powerful answer. Every child of this nation will rise to the challenge and, by the grace of Allah Almighty, will emerge victorious.”
