BANGKOK – Pakistani boxer Shaheer Afridi emerged victorious in an international boxing match in Bangkok, defeating Indian opponent Tarjot Singh with a powerful technical knockout (TKO) in the fourth round.
Afridi dominated the bout, leaving no doubt about his superiority in the ring. The victory marks his 18th professional win and further solidifies his growing reputation on the international boxing stage.
Among the first to celebrate Afridi’s win was Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, who called the victory a proud moment for the entire nation. “Shaheer Afridi’s success is the success of the Pakistani people,” Ghani stated, adding that the win served as a symbolic response to ongoing Indian hostility.
Following the match, Afridi took to X (formerly Twitter) to dedicate his victory to the martyrs of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He also expressed gratitude to his sponsors and supporters.
“Today in Bangkok, I won my 18th pro boxing fight by knocking out my Indian opponent in Round 4. I dedicate this victory to the brave martyrs of the Pakistan Armed Forces and thank my sponsors, especially Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Shahid Afridi, for their support,” he wrote.
Former cricket captain Shahid Afridi responded with praise, commending the boxer for his performance and patriotism.
“Very well done, Shaheer Afridi. Keep up the hard work and stay focused—this is only the beginning. The whole nation is behind you. Thank you for making Pakistan proud!” he tweeted.
