ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has reportedly been paid between ₹5 crore and ₹10 crore Indian rupees for his comeback film Abir Gulaal, in which he stars opposite actress Vaani Kapoor.
In comparison, Kapoor is said to have received ₹1.5 crore for her role.
However, the film’s future now appears uncertain following a tragic incident in Pahalgam on April 22.
Sources within India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting suggest that Abir Gulaal may not receive a theatrical release across India.
Songs removed from YouTube India
Adding to the complications, two songs from the film — Khudaya Ishq and Angreji Rangrasiya — have been removed from YouTube India. Both tracks were initially uploaded by the film’s production house and Saregama, which holds the music rights, but are now unavailable on Indian servers.
A third song, Tain Tain, was scheduled for release on Wednesday. However, it has yet to be launched, and no official statement has been issued by the production team regarding the delay.
