ISLAMABAD: The National Stadium Karachi is set to undergo a major transformation as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) prepares to launch the second phase of renovations immediately after the conclusion of Pakistan Super League Season 10 (PSL X).
This ambitious redevelopment project will include a complete re-profiling of the stadium’s stands, with the goal of upgrading the iconic venue to meet modern international standards. The move comes in response to declining spectator turnout during HBL PSL 2025, which officials attribute to outdated infrastructure and a diminished fan experience.
Among the key upgrades are redesigned seating areas aimed at improving comfort, space, and sightlines for spectators. The overall architectural overhaul will give the stadium a more contemporary look while preserving its historic significance.
Additional improvements include the restructuring of entry and exit points to ensure smoother crowd flow and enhanced safety, along with a revamp of parking facilities to resolve long-standing accessibility issues on match days.
