Hajj Flight Operations from Pakistan to Begin on April 29

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, has announced that Hajj flight operations under the official government scheme are set to begin on April 29. The minister shared this update during a press conference at the Haji Camp in Lahore.

This year, under the official Hajj scheme, a total of 90,000 Pakistanis will perform Hajj. Minister Yousaf also revealed that he held an important meeting with his Saudi counterpart to ensure that all necessary facilities are provided to Pakistani pilgrims. Preparations, including vaccination and training, are already in progress.

Hajj training sessions will begin on April 8, where pilgrims will be briefed on essential health protocols, including vaccination requirements.

The cost of the Hajj package has been set at Rs 1,150,000 for short-term pilgrims and Rs 1,050,000 for long-term pilgrims.

Addressing concerns about misconduct during the pilgrimage, Minister Yousaf assured that strict measures are being taken against individuals involved in begging, who have been deported. He also clarified that Umrah visas are typically suspended before the Hajj season to streamline the pilgrimage process.
