Police Register Two Cases Against Suspects
Two men have been arrested for posing as police officers and being involved in short-term kidnappings. The suspects, identified as Bilawal Khilji and Waqas, were found with multiple videos on their mobile phones showing abducted individuals.
Authorities revealed that Bilawal and Waqas were impersonating law enforcement officers in order to carry out the kidnappings. The disturbing footage found on their phones depicted victims being held captive, often handcuffed.
The police have filed two cases against the suspects at the Defence Police Station. Further investigations uncovered that many of the videos were filmed while the victims were held hostage in their own homes.
The suspects are linked to three cases in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and two in Rahim Yar Khan. Investigations also revealed that the two men had purchased police uniforms from shops in Saddar, where such items were sold without proper verification.
During the arrests, police recovered mobile phones and stolen watches.
