University to Offer Quality Education and Hire Highly Qualified Faculty
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the Danish University will officially open on August 14, 2026. During a foundation-laying ceremony for the university, the Prime Minister clarified that the £190 million previously transferred to the national treasury has no connection to the former Chief Justice, as claimed by some reports.
He emphasized the commitment to making Pakistan a prosperous and great nation, stating that the funds would be used to establish a world-class university offering opportunities for higher education to students across all provinces.
The Prime Minister further assured that admissions to the Danish University would be merit-based and that it would focus on applied sciences. He highlighted that the institution will function similarly to the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI), aiming to provide quality education to children from rural areas who possess great potential.
Shehbaz Sharif also shared that the university will support orphaned children, offering them both education and shelter. He stressed the importance of educating children from rural areas, warning that without such education, their talents could be wasted.
Spanning an area of 100 acres, the university will hire highly qualified teachers to ensure top-tier education. The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that the university will make a name for itself globally and will serve as a beacon of hope for students across the country.
In closing, he thanked all the guests for their presence and reiterated his vision of transforming Pakistan into a great and prosperous nation through education and hard work.
