ISLAMABAD: The Bin Roye duo is reuniting for the upcoming romantic film Love Guru, directed by Nadeem Baig and set to release on Eidul Azha this year. Vasay Chaudhry penned the screenplay.
Announcing the project on Instagram, Baig shared the film’s official poster, featuring Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan. “Presenting the official poster of Love Guru, starring the ever-charming Humayun Saeed and the breathtaking Mahira Khan! Witness their chemistry unfold on the silver screen this Eidul Azha!” he wrote.
The poster, unveiled on Tuesday, shows Mahira in a flowing white dress and Humayun in a sophisticated suit vest, holding each other under a spotlight inside what appears to be an empty mansion. With soft specks of light falling around them, the visual hints at a romantic story intertwined with soul-stirring music.
Fans were quick to flood the comments section with excitement. “Wait, am I dreaming? After a decade, the Bin Roye cast reunion is finally happening!” one fan wrote, while another gushed, “This is too far away!”
Mahira’s return to the big screen after three years has particularly thrilled her fans. “It’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen you on the big screen. So excited for this!” one user commented.
While not much is known about the film’s plot, Mahira confirmed during an event in London last November that the film was shot in the UK. “I’ve only done one project here. We’ve been shooting it for over a month. It’s a film, Love Guru,” she revealed in a video.
Love Guru marks Mahira’s first film since The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022), where she starred alongside Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi. The action-packed reboot grossed $13.8 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time and breaking records at the UK box office for a South Asian film, according to Screen Daily.
